All those wires!

I saw a blurb somewhere regarding all the flags used for the DNC convention earlier this week and really did not pay much attention to it. But I have changed my mind and decided to mention it. We have a flag and I’ll admit to not being up on all of the flag etiquette or the proper ways to dispose of one, but I do know that throwing flags in the trash is not the way to go. I guess the U.S. Flag is only good for a nice photo op. If I went somewhere and was handed a U.S. Flag as a prop, and then after said event was over decided I did not want to carry it with me I would not be able to bring myself to just throw it away.

I see via LGF that the DNC has also issued a statement regarding the U.S. Flags thrown in the trash by the Democrat party.

American flags were proudly waved by the 75,000 people who joined Barack Obama at the Democratic Convention. John McCain should applaud that, but instead his supporters wrongfully took leftover bundles of our flags from the stadium to play out a cheap political stunt calling into question our patriotism.

They did get it partly correct, their patriotism is being questioned……again.

The flags were rescued.

Didn’t anyone make arrangements for better disposal of these flags from Invesco?  At the very least, they were an investment that could have been re-used at rallies in Colorado as well as the rest of the nation during the general election.  Instead, they’ve handed a dramatic moment to John McCain and Sarah Palin, as well as relieved them of the cost of 12,000 such flags — as well as a full 3′x5′ flag that also wound up in the trash.
